Semi-Annual Designer Purse Bingo!

We are currently only able to accept applications from residents of the following counties:
Eau Claire, Chippewa, Dunn, Clark, Jackson, Trempealeau, Buffalo, Taylor, Rusk, Barron, and Pepin

Experiencing the death of a loved one can be a very difficult and confusing time. This is especially true for parents who have lost a child or an unexpected death. During this devastating time, families are overwhelmed and don't know where to turn. While nothing can ease the pain of a loss, we can help ease the financial burden.
Not everyone has the ability to make plans for final arrangements ahead of time. Families are faced with a sudden financial obligation that they may not be able to meet. There are some funeral homes that do not charge for their services for children (please ask us for help in locating one), however there are still certain costs relating to merchandise (casket, urn, vault, etc), as well as third-party fees (cemetery charges, flowers, monument) that need to be paid.
While there is currently a program in place at the state level (Wisconsin Funeral and Cemetery Aids Program or WFCAP) to provide assistance to some low-income residents in need of burial or cremation services, there are many that do not meet eligibility requirements, but are still experiencing legitimate financial hardships. The support we offer is geared toward these families and those who do not have life insurance.
Many struggle with honoring their loved one’s final wishes because of the cost. We believe that every life deserves to be honored in a respectful and dignified way. Our goal is to raise awareness of this problem and encourage the public to provide financial support in the form of donations to help families in need that have suffered a loss. Currently, the Foundation is able to assist local residents in the counties of Eau Claire, Chippewa, Dunn, Clark, Jackson, Trempealeau, Buffalo, and Pepin, meeting the required guidelines. However, as funding allows, the Foundation will continue to expand its reach.
While the primary focus of the Foundation is to assist with funeral costs for children, our funding is open for anyone with a financial need to apply.
